That sound you caught toward the beginning of today was Ryan Gosling breaking his fans' hearts. The character's implied that he's prepared to enjoy a reprieve from the business.

"I simply require a little break from myself," Gosling, who'll afterward star in this month's "The Place Beyond the Pines," told the Hollywood Reporter.

The 32-year-old performer has viewed his profile blast in the past few years.
