       Detective, murder suspect die in Mississippi altercation



A police Officer and a homicide suspect were killed after an argument throughout addressing raised to gunfire at police base camp in Jackson, Mississippi, powers stated on Thursday.

The officer was distinguished as Detective Eric Smith.

"This is to be sure a miserable day for our city, a troubled day for the Jackson Police Department," stated Jackson Mayor Harvey Johnson in a taped talk with posted on the Jackson Clarion-Ledger online site.

"Our hearts go out to the Smith gang. Investigator Smith was an incredible officer, from all reports... Clearly the men and ladies of the Police Department are taking this pretty hard."

Smith leaves a wife and two children, Johnson stated on his Facebook page.

Hinds County Sheriff's Office representative Othor Cain stated the shooting happened on the third deck of the police central station in business district Jackson.

"Throughout a meeting with the suspect, a fight followed and shots were discharged bringing about the officer being shot and the suspect," Cain stated. "Both have been professed dead."

It was not clear if the firearm utilized within the shooting had a place with the officer.

Cain can't distinguish either of the aforementioned slaughtered. He stated the officer was a veteran with the police division who had served for more than a decade.

The shooting happened in the company of a uplifted examination of ambushes on U.S. law requirement authorities after two prosecutors from Kaufman County, Texas, and the Colorado jails head were all murdered in what had all the earmarks of being focused on strike in the not so distant future.
